Numero28, a restaurant serving southern Italian cuisine, is now open in Highland Village.

Chairel Properties purchased a 6,900-square-foot retail building at 3227 FM 1960 Road E. in Humble for Unique Candies, a wholesaler and retailer of Mexican candy. This will be the first retail location in Houston for the Brownsville-based company. Alfonso Gomez with GRT Realty represented the buyer. The seller, FIRS Capital, was represented by Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial Real Estate.

Numero28 has opened a restaurant serving southern Italian cuisine including pastas, hand-tossed pizzas and classics from the old country in Highland Village at 3974 Westheimer. Co-owner and operator Bernardo Nolfo, a native of Sicily, opened the restaurant in collaboration with Marco Borghi and Rolando Biamonte, whose family founded Numero28 in New York. Nolfo previously opened Texas locations in Austin and Dallas. The restaurant offers a bar and patio seating.

Valley Ranch Town Center, a 1.5 million-square-foot development of Houston-based Signorelli Co. at Interstate 59 and the Grand Parkway in Porter, is adding six new shopping and dining options to its already extensive line up of stores. HomeGoods plans to open a 23,018-square-foot store in November. Victoria’s Secret leased 5,000 square feet for a store to open next year. CareNow Urgent Care will have a 4,000-square-foot location at yet to be announced date. Saltgrass Steak House will start construction this fall on a 5,900-square-foot restaurant, and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will open a 3,181-square-foot store in 2023. Crumbl Cookies will bring milk chocolate chip cookies and weekly rotating menu to a 1,280-square-foot location early next year. Since opening in 2016, the center has grown to more than 85 shops and restaurants, including the upcoming 134,856-square-foot Target, set to debut in 2023. Anchor tenants at the center include Academy Sports + Outdoors and Kroger.

Seven Hospitality Group announced that construction is under way on Se7en, a new fine dining entertainment restaurant and lounge at 3300 Kirby Drive in the Upper Kirby District. The restaurant will occupy 5,141 square feet with seating for 225 plus another 1,110 square feet on the patio with seating for 50 to 75. Headed by Executive Chef Erhan Özkaya, Se7en will serve upscale Asian/Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on flair in the presentation of each dish. Seven Hospitality Group partners are Frank Edosomwan, Yuware Eghaghe, Anthony Ifeanyi, Moussa Haider, Tarek Hassan, Marwan Alyassir, Ghassan Elyassir and Elias Alyassi. Deco Construction Group is the general contractor and Studio 5 is handling interior design. Opening is planned in the fourth quarter.

Houston-based Midway announced new tenants at its Memorial Green mixed-use development at 12525 Memorial Drive. VinSanto, a European inspired wine bar, shop and bistro led by Memorial resident Riccardo Guerrieri, will open a 2,172-square-foot location in November adjacent to Lam Bespoke and Dish Society. Semper Laser, a laser hair removal salon founded in Miami, will open in a 1,313-square-foot space adjacent to Clean Juice in early 2023. Laura Harness of Midway represented the landlord. Lindsey Lee Bumpus of the Blue Ox Group represented VinSanto and Hannah Tosch of Colliers represented Semper Laser.

Wolfies Restaurants & Sports Bar leased 6,500 square feet in the Coles Crossing Shopping Center at 12330 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. Coles Crossing is one of Wolfies’ four Houston area locations. Wes Miller of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.

Ugo Beauty & Artistry, a Charlotte, N.C.-based luxury wellness spa owned by Chidimma Ekwem, expanded to Houston. The new full-service spa at 8323 Southwest Freeway, Suite 605, offers holistic wellness, a hookah bar and services including facials, chemical peels, saunas, full body waxing and skin treatments.

Dutch Bros. signed a ground lease for a 0.57-acre site in Willis Town Center, at the intersection of Interstate 45 and FM 1097, Willis, from NewQuest Properties. Kevin Sims of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. Greg Slusky of Sluco Realty represented the tenant.
